This is definitely a long hard season in my life!  There are days when I get face down and pray and just sit and listen and would give anything if I could just hear something—AUDIBLY!  Wouldn’t that be cool!  I know that there are things I think I am hearing and I know there are things I THINK I am hearing and probably aren’t, and it will be really cool to sit back in the next year and say, Oh I did hear this, or OH I thought I heard that, but that’s just what I wanted to hear, not what God was trying to say!  I pray that as I seek His word more, I will hear better for him.

We decided to take Jared to the Taipei Zoo last week.  We took the MRT that stopped right in front of the zoo -really convenient, which is why I like Taipei so much.  Entrance fee was really cheap, only $60.00 NT for each adult, which is about $2.00 USD a person!  Jared was free since he was under three.  We took a tram to the far end of the zoo, which was $5.00 NT (that’s about $0.17 cents a person!).  The zoo itself was ok, not the best, since a lot of the animal enclosures looked a little battered from the constant humidity and rain, but all the animals in them seemed very healthy and active.

Yesterday was Hari Raya.  A very Selamat Hari Raya to all Malay friends out there.  I’m glad that Singapore is a multi-racial country which practices racial harmony so that people from different ethic groups can share their culture, traditions, food, histories together.
A Malay friend of mine, Hafiz, invited me to his house for lunch yesterday to try some of their Malay delicacies which his mum had prepared for their family, relatives, friends and guests.  No doubt, the main highlight of lunch was Nasi Lemak (coconut rice) with Ayam Goreng Berempah.  Other dishes include the Rendang Beef, Sambal Goreng, Tahu Telor, Ikan Assam Pedas and a few more which I can’t remember.  Also, there are many Malay traditional snacks such as the ondeh-ondeh, kueh bahalu, kueh lapis and too many more to be name.  Sadly, I didn’t take any pictures of the food as I was a guest at his place with many other people around.

Well, what can I say.  I am in a relationship again at this point in my life.
At the beginning of September I had gone to Port Angeles to meet Lee.  We had been talking online and finally decided it was time to meet in person.  We did and we had a wonderful time.  In the first week after we met, there was some trying moments and some wonderful moments.  It is hard when you live in a distance relationship especially when the relationship is cross-borders.  I had doubts about things, about how this would work, if it worked out who would move where.  The work situation would be an issue for both of us.

Life’s here really bored. I don’t know what interesting things those people can do in here. I will bored to death here, everyday computer game, watch movie. Everyday do the same things. Round and round like a life cycle. I miss those days in KL. I really must find a work to kill my times. I don’t know what can I work in here. I’ve been feeling mentally handicapped lately. I often feel that I am sort of in the clouds. That could be a good thing. It may mean I’ve mellowed.
I’m happy in this life with Frank. Oddly enough, for the economic perils that seem to be looming for the country, I am living well and doing better financially than I ever have.
I try and sort out the elements that make me feel as if my brain isn’t firing on  all cylinders. I try to decipher just what has changed.
Is it some sort of physiological thing? A fog upon the synapses?
Have I lost the ability to analyze, to compare and contrast in a meaningful way? Could I manage to pull together a coherent statement on a particular subject. Could I write an essay with any depth if my life depended on it?
